Student Recruiter Magic Johnson Bridgescape Academies (South Shore and Lawndale locations) Chicago, IL Seasonal, Part-time/Approx. 20-35 hours per week Position Summary: The Student Recruiter is charged with driving student enrollment for Bridgescape centers located in Chicago. Ideally, the Student Recruiter is an active member of the school community (a parent, education student, school volunteer, or community activist) and is responsible for promoting the Bridgescape program to high school students at school and community events while adhering to strict guidelines and policies. Events may include, but are not limited to, neighborhood canvassing, working publicity booths at community functions, speaking to community groups, etc. Student Recruiters may be asked to recruit other Recruiters to help during peak periods. Duties: • Communicate program details to parents and students • Enroll students while adhering to and enforcing strict EdisonLearning and district policies and procedures • Publicize the Magic Johnson Bridgescape Academy at community events • Network with parents and deliver a personal appeal to sign up for the program • Assist with material management, data entry, and other related tasks • Adhere to compliance regulations when publicizing the MJBA program and enrolling students
