Job Description: Morrisville State College seeks a highly motivated, responsible individual who thrives on taking initiative and being a team player to join its Equine Science Department as an Instructional Support Assistant. This is a tenure track position in the Western portion of the Equine Science Department assisting with the day-to-day management of the Western program horses and Western facilities, the instruction of Western riding and training labs, and the supervision of the summer internship program. The successful candidate will assist with the daily operation of the college western program to accomplish the educational western program objectives. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Equine Science Department and works as a team member in the strategic planning process with other faculty and staff members that work in the Western program and the Equine Science Department. Requirements: Associate’s degree in equine science or a related area is required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Must possess or be willing and able to obtain a Class A CDL and certification for pesticide application to livestock. Also required is the ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor in occasional extreme weather conditions. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
