EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY PART TIME COMMUNITY EVENTS ASSISTANT Competition # TOS2015-01 We are looking for an outgoing individual to be part of the Community Services Team. This position will involve routine public contact and assisting Community Services staff in organizing and implementing special events throughout the year. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative tasks within the community service department including park space and equipment rentals. They are required to have the ability to work in teams and independently with all types of people. They will be able to effectively and efficiently plan his/her work, while remaining sufficiently flexible to accommodate unforeseen changes. This individual will also be able to follow directions and express themselves tactfully as a representative for the Town of Strathmore. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, minimum of grade 12 or equivalent and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. A post-secondary certificate or diploma in recreation programming, special events, tourism or related field would be an asset. Hours: Some evenings, weekends and statutory holidays work will be required.
