EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Production Supervisor,The QUIKRETE Companies, Holly, MI. JOB DESCRIPTION THE QUIKRETE® COMPANIES, the leading producer of packaged concrete and related products, is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Holly, MI facility. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years supervisory experience in a production environment and a school diploma or GED equivalent. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the manufacturing of QUIKRETE products on a variety of production lines. This includes personnel training, safety programs, quality control, and housekeeping duties; all while controlling costs to the lowest level possible. The Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and must work closely with other production management and maintenance personnel. Teamwork with other company supervisors, peers, and subordinates is a must. JOB REQUIREMENTS Responsibilities include but not limited to, supervision of production personnel. Schedules production in an efficient manner while ensuring that inventory levels are sufficient to meet customer requirements. Compiles data for daily production reports ensuring products are manufactured to company standards and meet all quality control requirements. Reviews and submits timecards for approval to Plant Manager. Reviews all plant personnel according to company policy and recommends rate changes for hourly assigned personnel. Consults with Production Manager on all matters warranting disciplinary action. One must be able to operate and work around industrial machinery while wearing respirators, safety glasses, and or hearing protection in required areas.
