Europe is not constraint. Europe is #support, it is about #development. Europe is about #growth and creating #jobs and that is the only goal that the EU and the European Commission pursues here in Greece. (...) Greece has been through an unprecedented fiscal adjustment and reform efforts. The country has made immense progress and it is very clear that it has now turned the corner. Most importantly growth has returned in Greece. We forecast growth of almost 3% for next year which is after Ireland one of the highest rates of the EU. (...) Where do we stand now ? Greeces place in the Eurozone is no longer in question as it was for some at the depths of the crisis in 2011 and 2012. For me there was never a question that Greece should remain in the Eurozone. At the end of this short and technical extension if we succeed in closing the review which I hope and I will work for with the teams of the Commission, i.e. by the end of February next year, Troika will leave Greece and we will move to another face of our relationship with this country. (...) The efforts of the people are starting to pay off. It is time to consolidate what has been achieved and to move on to the next phase which would be about growth, normalisation with a different kind of cooperation equally supportive but less intrusive.
