ENERGY BALLS are a fantastic snack for active families – make in advance for you and your kids to grab and go. Play around with organic ingredients. I start with the nut butters and add from there. The coconut oil gets greasy if left at room temp. so best kept in the fridge. I use an ice cream scoop (good size) to scoop out the mix and roll them by hand – put on parchment paper and try not to eat them all! You can also add raw cacao if you want more of a chocolate blast with all the fabulous Superfood benefits! YUM! Organic Cashew / almond butter mix / tahini – experiment! 2 heaping tbsp Maca Root ½ cup Hemp seeds Organic Unpasteurized Honey Organic Oats Walnuts / Almonds/ Pecans / Brazil nuts - choose 1 or mix: lightly chopped Razz-cherries / Bing cherries / dried unsweetened Organic Unsweetened Coconut Organic Cacao Butter and Organic Coconut Oil ~ melted on low heat Goji berries Organic Nature’s Path O’s (or organic cripsy cereal that is less processed) Bittersweet Organic Chocolate chunks Vanilla Top Superfoods to consider adding: Raw cacao – powder and nibs, goji berries, maca root, aloe vera juice, bee pollen, spirulina, blue-green algae, acai berry, coconut – unsweetened – oil, butter, shredded, hemp seeds, unprocessed honey, matcha green tea.
