ENERGY BURST 6th October 2014 It was about the need for more sustainable energy sources (not just playing, honest! ;) ) The girls had to run about whenever we said ‘on’, and stop when we said ‘off’. Then we introduced some other actions which represented different sources of electricity, e.g.: *hydroelectricity - big swoosh like a waterfall; *wind power - rotate arms like a windmill and make blowing noises; *nuclear power - star jumps; *wave power - everyone lined up and did a Mexican wave (sort of!) *coal - made a digging action; *solar power - fan yourself like it’s really hot (I wish!). Afterwards we discussed why we need different ways to get energy. Great fun and girls burned off some energy, although we do need to practice our Mexican wave!!
