ENFORCEMENT OF CURRENT ANDRA HELMET RULES - AUGUST 2013 The Club wishes to advise all present and future competitors that during the upcoming race season that we will be strictly enforcing the following standard. Under no circumstances are Australian Standard Helmets labelled AS1698 allowed to be used. This standard was superseded by AS/NZS 1698 or AS/NZS 1698:2006. To date the Club has been quite reasonable on the interpretation of this ruling. Moving forward under no circumstances will any racer or competitor be able to race unless they meet the minimum standard as mentioned above. Please check your helmets and especially those helmets that state AS1698 ONLY will not be accepted at scrutineering at the Steel City Race Way Helmets that will be passed and accepted at the Steel City Race Way will be SNELL SA2005, SA2010, SFI 31.1 (US), SNELL M2005, M2010, SFI 41.1 (US). For full explanation of the ruling please refer to the 2013 ANDRA Rule Book, ruling 4.20.7, page 243 The Club apologises for any burden or inconvenience that this may cause but as an ANDRA affiliated club we must comply with this ANDRA ruling to satisfy all requirements and meet the Clubs obligations to qualify for insurance and club / track affiliation.
