ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - A family is asking for the publics help to find their dog who ran away from a veterinary hospital on Monday morning. The technician was trying to move the dog into a van to transfer her to their MRI building when she pulled loose and ran away, said Laurel Burritt, whose mother owns the dog. The dog, Tao, was last seen in the area of Hampden Avenue and Jason Street at 5:30 a.m. Thats near Hampden and Santa Fe. Tao is black and white. Shes a 7-year-old, Akita mix and weighs about 64 pounds. She had a square patch of fur missing from one side of her back, where a growth was removed, Burritt said. She is extremely sweet, but scared to death, Burritt said. I doubt she would come to anyone, but does respond to women better than a man. Tao was spotted near Hampden and Jason on Tuesday morning, but ran off when somebody called to her. If you see the dog, please call Rocky Mountain Veterinary Neurology at 303-874-7387, Englewood Police at 303-761-7410 or the Humane Society of Littleton at 303-703--2938.
