ENJOINING WHAT IS GOOD AND FORBIDDING WHAT IS EVIL IS OBLIGATORY UPON EVERY MUSLIM. :- You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah (SURAH IMRAN 3 VERSE 110) And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful (SURAH IMRAN 3 VERSE 104) “The believers, men and women, are Awliya) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Maroof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden)” (SURAH AT-TAWBAH 9 VERSE 71) By time,.Indeed, mankind is in loss,.Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. (SURAH AL ASR 103 VERSE 1-3) EVIDENCE FROM SUNNAH.:- Narrted Abu Sa’id I heard the Messenger of Allah as saying: He who amongst you sees something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand; and if he has not strength enough to do it, then he should do it with his tongue, and if he has not strength enough to do it, (even) then he should (abhor it) from his heart, and that is the least of faith. SAHIH MUSLIM (Book 1, Hadith 79) SUNAN TIRMIDHI (Vol. 4, Book 7, Hadith 2172) ABU DAWOOD (Book 2, Hadith 1136) It was narrated that Tariq bin Shihab said:”Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say: Whoever among you sees an evil and changes it with his hand, then he has done his duty. Whoever is unable to do that, but changes it with his tongue, then he has done his duty. Whoever is unable to do that, but changes it with his heart, then he has done his duty, and that is the weakest of Faith.’” (Sahih) SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 6, Book 47, Hadith 5012) SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 6, Book 47, Hadith 5011)
