EQUIPMENT NEWS : Rem Pods, what do they do and how do they work ? Popular misconception and false advertising found. As i announced earlier Willenhall Paratech UK are in the process of developing our own version of The Rem Pod. Whilst doing some research on The Rem Pod that`s available on the market for around £ 115.00 - £ 140.00 i came across some interesting reading. First of all it`s makers `claim` that The Rem Pod`s antenna ``radiates an independent EM Field around the instrument,This EM field can be easily influenced by materials and objects that conduct electricity, Based on source proximity, strength and EM field distortion`` During my research i have found that this claim is False. The Rem Pod does NOT generate or radiate any Electromagnetic Field or any other Field of energy for that matter. A recent `review` i read from a Researcher who had electrical knowledge and access to all manner of scientific analysis equipment gave this `scientific` review on a Rem Pod He bought so he could test it to see if it does what it claims : 05 August 2014 : ``We bought this unit under the advertised claim that it radiated a small EM field around the antenna and when the field was disturbed it would indicate the condition with LEDs and sound. Once we received the unit we inspected the device for build quality, we found it was acceptable and would be able to withstand normal to moderate use. Next, we wanted to test the functionality in our lab. We used the following equipment to test the unit. 1) Agilent DSO-X2012A Oscilloscope, 2) Rigol DSA815 Spectrum Analyzer, 3) BeeHive Precision Nearfield Probe Set, 4) Fluke 289 DMM, 5)ACL 300B Precision Static Meter. During our testing we found that the device provided no evidence of producing any measurable EM field around the antenna. The only EM field that could be detected or measured was the circuits processing noise from the oscillator clock which was located near the base of the unit where the electronics were housed. This test was repeated several times under various conditions in which we obtained the same results. The unit appeared to operate correctly, but more like an electric field detector which acts more like a radio receiver than a radio transmitter. We tested the unit with several materials including using our hands, each one having a small to medium electric field charge and found that all items with the charge produced an alarm of varying intensity depending on the amount of electric charge the item had . If we used a material at a 0 charge potential, even metal which was isolated from the hand or any external charge, it did not produce an alarm. We repeatedly tested with various materials and both charged and not-charged and found that finding to be very consistent. It is very apparent that the unit seems to be more of a static electric field detector with a metered amplified response which is displayed as various color LEDs and graduated sound. We were not able to detect even the slightest radiated EM field other than the circuit noise from the housed electronics which cannot be mistaken for a radiated EM field. This circuit processing noise is easily distinguishable from any other intentional radiated EM source. Concluding Part-1 of this review : We feel the unit works well as an electric field detector but provides no evidence of being able to radiate its own EM field. The construction is solid, A bit on the larger size but workable. Battery and power access is easy to get to and it seems to do well with battery life. The reason we did not rate this higher was solely on the either false or skewed claims that this unit radiates its own EM field. We feel that the product is being misrepresented to the consumer. We welcome any scientific or technical data which can debunk our claim. Okay so what does this mean ? Well, the whole idea behind a Rem Pod is that it detects the energy field that may be given off by Ghost`s / Spirits, the antenna detects `Spirit energy` and the led lights light up accordingly, many believe, as I do, that Ghost`s can manipulate environmental energy, possibly `store` up this energy much in the same way as a rechargeable battery does, and then use this energy to communicate with us, the claim that The Rem Pod generates it`s own EM field would lead you to believe that this `energy` can in some way help the Ghost`s and give them the energy they require. As you`ve seen above, it doesn`t do this and the claim is misleading. At best The Rem Pod is a Static Field Detector and operates, as i understand it, in much the same way as our own LauDan meter does, that detects a Static Field via the antenna and the Blue led light flickers, it doesn`t generate an EMF as this would surely interfere with other equipment such as the Mel Meter, Ghost Meter and K2 Meter, giving you `False Positives`. Our own version of a Rem Pod will be available shortly and will be built to order, it won`t be as big and bulky as the traditional version but it will operate much the same as the current Rem Pod does, it will have led lights and an audible signal and a telescopic antenna, it won`t however claim to generate it`s own independent EM Field.
