SAVSEC is a state of the art multi-specialty veterinary referral practice, which is AAHA accredited and has two locations in Tucson, Arizona that is staffed 24/7 by an experienced team of emergency DVMs and veterinary nurses. SAVSEC is seeking an experienced ER/CC Treatment Technician for our Emergency/Critical Care department. You will work under the guidance and supervision of the doctor on duty including an ACVECC diplomate. Potential candidates must have a broad knowledge of animal science, veterinary medicine, pharmacology, ample mathematical skills; deliver compassionate nursing care and outstanding client service to ensure accurate the highest level patient care is provided! Essential Job Responsibilities/Skills • Provide in-patient nursing care, perform medical treatments, perform in-hospital diagnostics, patient critical care & daily monitoring, place advanced IV catheters, phlebotomy, administer IV fluids, TPN, or PPN. • Prioritizes daily patient treatments and communicates patient status with doctor on duty. • Must pay attention to detail and be a self-motivator. • Proficient at anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring and recovery of patients. • Surgically prep patients and provide surgical doctor assistance • Present patient discharge instructions and client information packs and giving patient updates, medical demonstrations and education for hospitalized patients. • Preparing prescriptions , dispense medications and medication refills Please submit resumes via email.
