ERCP & CHOLEDOCHOLITHIASIS Today on 24-dec-2014, second ERCP was of 52 years male. His ultrasound showing small stones in GB & CBD WITH S/BIL=8.0, ALT=130 & ALK PO4=1110. During ERCP, found that ampulla had normal overlying mucosa with pin-point ampullary orifice. After guide-wire cannulation, the contrast was injected. The CBD was mildly dilated with distal tapering, due to ampullary stenosis. Intrahepatic ducts were also dilated. The CBD had tinny stone & sludge. Ample sphincterotomy was followed by balloon trawling that resulted the evacuation of sludge as well as stone. After that free flow of bile seen.
