ESCAPE FROM IMPULSE... Sometimes when a pretty dance of the times of life has been playing and all seem too good to be true, a sudden intruder appears called Impulse. A sudden thought, a bad dream, an imagined idea of how to turn something real dumb into a pot of gold, or even what someone had to say that evoke a flash of fear...then comes a sudden turning on the heels to make a move to say something, to do something on an impulse.. to head off the impending threat of loosing out or not reacting to the opportunity. But factually there was no threat, nor pot of gold opportunity. This was a spur of the moment turn, not initiated by premeditated reason, reflective thinking, deliberation, or advised consultation, much less not available to be moderated by prayer. The power to resist giving into sudden urges brought on by an impulse, and not just standing and holding position with what you have, can be a wild card called the joker, with serious consequences of rocking your boat. The list is very long. Many a well meaning person has out clever-ed their self and bought on a tide of doom by standing on the floor with the crack in it rather than standing on solid footing. So then, this improvisional, snap of the moment plunge into a dark decision, is a highway to flop city. Make a plan to do nothing without a time of reckoning and prayer. Be faithful to your decision, for only then.. will you earn an ESCAPE FROM IMPULSE.
