ESPN, CBS, NBC, FOX when I watch football I want to watch football--I DO NOT want to watch talking heads--especially not Bob Costas, James Brown etc., preaching to me about social issues. A small percentage of men abuse women, and there are even some women who abuse men--but I am tired of hearing about it on football broadcasts. Flail your issues on news and commentary broadcasts because I am shit full of being preached to about gun ownership and spousal abuse on a freaking sports broadcast--sell your Phil Donohue bullshit somewhere else. Players who violate rules should be punished--and it is no one elses bidness. Do you ever hear about the Sears manager who hits his wife, do you ever hear about the Mary Kay lady who smacks her hubby around? Hell no, because it is none of your business unless it happens in front of you. Pleeeeeassse just give me a break from the bullshit and tell me what the cornerback did on that last play, not a police report or a grainy videotape from a hotel elevator.......that is police business---not sports. Sports used to be an escape from that kind of horseshit.
