ETHICAL FASHION SHOW BERLIN Visionary green fashion: The Ethical Fashion Show Berlin is a trade fair for innovative, sustainable streetwear and casualwear at ewerk. From 2nd to 4th July 2013 74 international labels will present their current spring/summer 2014 collections to trade visitors at the success-proven event location. Knowledge Lounge and panel discussion amplifies the exhibition programme. This edition will focus on social standards in manufacturing processes and transparency of the supply chain. Knowledge Lounge, 2 to 4 July, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm (Thursday to 6:00 pm), hall C Trade visitors will have the opportunity to engage with experts from outstanding initiatives, NGOs, working groups and associations in the Knowledge Lounge. This includes GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), IVN (International Association of the Natural Textiles Industry), the Fair Wear Foundation and get changed! – The Fair Fashion Network. Knowledge Lounge talk programme, July 3rd, hall C. After a successful start in January 2013 the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin will continue to feature a schedule of talks in the Knowledge Lounge. This time around, the Fair Wear Foundation invites interested parties to attend the premiere of its “WellMade” seminar series. Here, members of the Fair Wear Foundation throw a spotlight on the clothing industry’s social standards and provide hands- on expertise and solutions for a successive improvement of related working conditions. GreenLounge, July 3rd, opening of the evening event (8 pm), Umspannwerk Kreuzberg. On July 3rd, Innatex, Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin host the GreenLounge at Umspannwerk Kreuzberg. This central green fashion-themed evening event invites trade professionals and media representatives to attend presentations on the two events staged by Messe Frankfurt as well as the related INNATEX trade fair. From 8pm, the venue will turn into a networking party for invited guests. Create Green Breakfast: panel discussion on “Innovative Sales Concepts”, July 4th, 11 am, hall C. In cooperation with Create Berlin and on the final day of the fair, the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin holds a “Create Green Breakfast” with a focus on “Innovative Sales Concepts” featuring keynote speakers Orsola de Castro and Filippo Ricci. The founders of London-based upcycling label From Somewhere and the Reclaim To Wear organisation, launched to foster green fashion through collaboration between designers, retailers and the textile industry, count among the UK pioneers of ethical fashion.
