ETHNIC NATIONALITIES YOUTH PRESIDENTS EULOGIZE OGOR, ENDORSE HIM FOR RE-ELECTION **Declare support for Rt Hon Leo Ogor and President Goodluck Jonathan re-election bid **Describe Ogor as the best legislator from the South-south geopolitical zone **You are a legislator amongst legislators - Comr. Richard, National President, Ndokwa National Youth **Jonathan achievements and transformational agenda in all sectors of the economy speak volume – Ogor A coalition of Presidents of youth body of ethnic nationalities from the South-south, South-west, South-east and Middle belt geopolitical zone of Nigeria during the week commended the Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Leo Ogor for distinguishing himself as a good lawmaker and good representative of his people. In a courtesy call on the Deputy Majority Leader at his country home in Ozoro, Delta state, the youth Presidents unanimously endorsed Ogor for re-election on the account of his sterling performance at the House of Representatives. In a separate speech, the youth Presidents while eulogizing Ogor also threw their weight behind Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan re-election campaign as President of Nigeria for another term. Comr. Zak. Oluwole, National President, Yoruba Youths Council worldwide, in his presentation acknowledged the vibrancy of the Deputy House Leader, Rt Hon Leo Ogor stating that Hon. Ogor is a stabilizing and indispensable force in the House of Representatives who truly deserve the votes of the people haven distinguished himself as lawmaker par excellence. “It’s a great pleasure to be at your home today and also in Isoko land sir. Immediately I stepped my foot in Isoko land, the first name that came to my mind was your name. I told my friend, ‘This is the territory of the egalitarian Leo Ogor, the war-horse of Mr. President at the House of Representatives.’ I feel so much delighted and honoured be in your abode today. Whenever I watched your speech on the floor of the House, I have always wished the Yoruba Nation have a vibrant Rep like you.” he stated. Comr. Oluwole further called on Isoko people to rally around their own and not sacrifice their best hand on the altar of selfish and personal interest. “The Yoruba youth will always stand by you anytime, and I am using the opportunity to call on Isoko Youth and Isoko leaders of thought to stand by their own. We once had somebody in the like of Rt Hon Leo Ogor who was sacrificed on the altar of personal and selfish interest and I do believe that the Isoko Nation will learn from the Yoruba mistake.” Comr. Aluh Moses Odeh, National Leader, All Middle Belt Youths Forum, in his speech, thrown everyone into uncontrollable laughter while jocularly intimating the Deputy House Leader, Rt Hon Leo Ogor of the wish of all Middle Belt youth to adopt Rt Hon Leo Ogor as their Representative and indigene of the zone if wishes were horses on the account of his dexterity and brilliant submission when making his presentation on the floor of the House. “I want to thank you sir for accepting to host us today. For me this is a dream come true. The dream of meeting one of my role models, the Rt Hon Leo Ogor and the dream of sharing idea with you today. You have always made me proud as a Nigerian through your performance at the House of Representatives. I want to tell you today that very soon we will send an application to the Isoko nation to adopt you as our representative comes 2015 if possible. “I want to convey the gratitude of all Middle Belt youth to you for always standing for the truth, for always standing by Mr. President and for your activeness and disposition. We are proud to associate with you.” Comr. Aluh also praised the Deputy leader to high heaven stating that meeting him will always be remembered as one of his memorable moment having watched his intelligent submission on the floor of the House countless numbers of time. “You are one of the reasons while I always look up to watching live proceeding of the House of Representatives plenary. I congratulate the Isoko nation for producing such a National Leader and one of Nigeria’s best Lawmaker. You have clearly distinguished yourself as legislator who knows his onion and the history of this present dispensation cannot be told without the mention of your name.” he said. Comr. Otighi N. Richard, National President, Ndokwa National Youth, thanked Hon Leo Ogor for having the interest of his people and the nation at heart in the discharge of his duty as a lawmaker stating that Ndokwa nation as neighbour to the Isoko are fully aware of Rt Hon Leo Ogor quality and purposeful representation to his people. “I want to specially thank you for this hand of fellowship you extended to us. I thank you for the purposeful leader you have been providing for your people. I must confess that Ndokwa youth, the Ndokwa nation are envious of the Isoko people because they have one of the best hands at the National Assembly. We are not unaware of the appointment of National Assembly Civil Service Commissioner representing the states of Edo, Delta and Bayelsa that you dragged home to your people culminating in the appointment of an Isoko son as a commissioner. We are not unaware of the Federal Commissioner, Public Complaint Commission, representing Delta state which you again dragged to your constituency. We are also not unaware of the construction of about six health center you have so far influenced to Isoko land while the Ndokwa nation can hardly boost of two health center from the Federal. I also learnt of how you played a major role in the appointment of the Clerk of the senate. These show that you have the interest of your people at heart. You refused to sell them out. The Isoko nation must be proud to produce your likes. You are a legislator amongst legislators. I thank you for today sir. Thank you for hosting us” Maz. Okechukwu Isiguzoro, National President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth also in his submission stated that he has little to say as most of the valid submission about Rt Hon Leo Ogor has been made stating that Isoko nation is now a force to reckon with in the House of Representatives with the presence of the Rt Hon Leo Ogor. He also congratulated Isoko nation for not producing a sleeping legislator. “I think all the points have been made by my colleagues. They have said it all. There is no doubt that you are indeed a National figure. You not just an Isoko hero, but a National hero. You are indispensable in the polity of this country. You are indispensable to the House of Representatives and I look forwards to more of your vibrancy in the House comes 2015. You have been a darling of most Nigerians who followed live plenary of the House of Representatives. I know you will not disappoint Nigerians comes 2015. I know you will not disappoint Isoko nation. I call on the Isoko people to stand by their own. You might not realize the value of what you have until it’s gone.” Comr. Esimaje Awani, National President, Itsekiri National Youth Council, while acknowledging the activeness of Rt Hon Leo Ogor especially his valid contributions on the floor of the House states that he is one of the reasons the House has been a darling of most Nigerians despite the internal leadership tussle which characterized its activities of recent. Comr. Matthew Dighi, National President, National Youth Council of the Ogoni people also took time to eulogized Hon Ogor for his vibrancy describing Rt Hon Leo Ogor as a true pride of the South-south geopolitical zone. He described Rt Hon Leo Ogor as a lawmaker indispensable to the National Assembly. Speaking, National President, Isoko National Youth Movement, Comrade Victor Egba a.k.a last mugu assured the Presidents of the youth body of the collective resolve of Isoko youth to stand by Rt Hon Leo Ogor to ensure his re-election on the account of his true representation especially his laudable programme for the youth of Isoko nation stating that the Deputy House Leader always have the interest of the youth at heart in all his activities especially his empowerment programme which has greatly uplifted the youth of Isoko nation. Comr Egbo also listed some major achievements of Rt Hon Leo Ogor to include the employment of over 150 graduates, awards of scholarship to Isoko students most especially those in higher institutions of learning and empowerment of the youth in different discipline. In his welcome address, the Deputy House Leader thanked the Youth Presidents for the courtesy call while challenging them to always consider the unity and peace of Nigeria in all their decision stating that Nigeria unity and peace is non-negotiable. Rt Hon Leo Ogor also described the youth as the engine room of every nation and further stressed that every necessary steps must be taken to carry them along in the polity of the nation. Ogor used the opportunity to drum support for the re-election of Mr. President while citing some of Goodluck Jonathan transformational agenda/accomplishments including the revitalization of the Nigeria Railway Cooperation, upgrade of the Nation airports, and also the Lagos-Benin road, Abuja–Lokoja road which was abandoned by successive government and presently undergoing construction under President Goodluck Jonathan administration amongst major achievements in other sectors of the economy. At the end of the meeting, the youth presidentsunanimously threw their weight behind the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan and Rt Hon Leo Ogor stating that all hands must be on deck to ensure their re-election as their re-election is inimical to the growth and massive development of Nigeria and Isoko land. Present at the event include Comr. Matthew Dighi, National President, National Youth Council of the Ogoni people; Comr. Esimaje Awani, National President, Itsekiri National Youth Council;Maz.
