EURONAVAL 2014 Yesterday I was invited to attend the 24th International Naval Defense and Maritime Exhibition and Conference held in Paris. After passing through some stringent security measures, it was an opportunity to check out the ships, small boats, drones and equipment on display. I was particularly impressed with Damen, Sillinger and Schiebel Exhibits. Damen for ships, Sillinger for small boats and Schiebel for unmanned Air systems (drones) Yana tried out the gunnery simulator for tracking down poachers from a fast moving inflatable. She managed to hit her target in extreme conditions and did so without a hint of seasickness afterwards. What was pleasantly surprising were the number of military and industry people who wanted pictures with us and said they were Whale War fans. Photos: With a Schiebel unmanned helicopter.
