EVALUATION OF NEW MACHAKOS CITY. May 18 2013 investors converged at Maanzoni Hotel for two day investors conference where the NMC was unveiled.In the evening we were shuttled to the site and toasted Champagne excited of what the new city will bring. Machakos Town was renamed the bedroom of Nairobi and investors were urged to sign memorandums with the MCG-Machakos County Government with the condition that they should break ground within one year, failure of which the 5acres allocated to each MCA and now worthy 25M, the 100 acres allocated to NRB Hospital...... will revert back to the MCG. Reading the class 5 Social Studies book shows for a city to sprout there should be plenty of WATER. One year down the line we ferry water to the Town and we expect Investors to break ground. Your take.
