EVD,probably the most mentioned acronym in West Africa,in the past two months. Commendable has been the efforts of the federal government in containing the virus as Nigeria boosts of the lowest casualty ratio. Beyond the deaths, aids&vaccines,Ebola, has surely has definitely left its mark, some good others bad. Lets look at some things EVD has ERECTED. •The outstanding partnership between the Federal Government and the state Governments, especially the Lagos state government, shoving their political differences aside to work hand in had to limit the spread of the deadly virus. •A really high level of cleanliness has been maintained by Nigerians in the past months as one commodity seems to be on everyones lips. Hand Sanitizers, believably the most shopped for item in Nigeria of late, and trust the bad sharp guys to try to take advantage as its price sky rocketed, but trust Nigerians to never carry last as home made Sanitizers sprung up. I hope this level of health consciousness is kept alive even after the EBOLA VIRUS DISEASE IS GONE. •Not looking to take chances,Most Roman Catholic churches in the country have seized to observe The Sign Of peace at masses, this sign, usually has members of the church exchanging Hand Shakes (some people extended it to hugs). For at least one month. •Some like it with noodles, others like it with Garri, the rest would rather have it alone. Its assorted meat people! Even if Suya can not be categorically called Bush Meat,Nigerians have kept their distance. To the disgust of the sellers...who have voiced out more times than one that their meat is thoroughly cleansed before it is sold to members of the public. Hopefully,EVD is kicked out of town soon as the World Health Organization(WHO) has listed Nigeria and Senegal as countries that have contained Ebola and are currently in the controlling process. #Prodigy_Emodi
