EVERY New Covenant believer is considered a king and priest (Rev. 1:6; 5:10). If you have been washed from your sins in His blood, you are part of Gods Royal Priesthood (1 Pet. 2:9). But to be one of the kings God will raise up to showcase His glory, there has to be something different that distinguishes you from a run-of-the-mill believer. WHEN God raises up a king in the earth to do exploits the training is ALWAYS intensive and extensive. And not many believers endure the process. Joseph was being raised up to be a world saver, so God had to prepare and refine him accordingly. David was going to be Israels greatest king, so again the training was extensive and intensive. For many of us, justifying why we cant live kingly and not be slaves to our situations is the norm. A kings mentality is TRIUMPH in every situation...never defeat. And even if they experience defeat, their rate of recovery is much quicker than the average believer. Kings are resilient. Arent we supposed to be more than conquerors? Didnt God say He causes us to triumph? Isnt He the King of Glory who is strong and mighty, mighty in battle? Study the kings of the Bible and earthly kings and you will see that their mentality is NOT a slave mentality to roll over and not exercise dominion in their lives or their territory. Davids men spoke of stoning him. The Bible says they cried until they couldnt cry no more because their wives and children were taken captive. What did David do? He encouraged himself in the Lord. Got up. Pursued the Amalekites and recovered all. Kings are warriors! Not worriers! This kind of post wont generate likes and many who insist on being pathetic will be offended. Nevertheless, your approval means nothing to me (John 5:41 NLT). The misrepresentation by us believers is sickening!!! Making some radical changes in 2015. -- ApAML
