EVERYDAY OILS..... PURIFICATION is a blend of the following oils: Citronella, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Melaleuca Alternifolia (aka Tea Tree oil), Lavandin and Myrtle. These individual oils all have powerful antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and sanitizing properties. Purification is most commonly known for cleansing and disinfecting the air and neutralizing odours when diffused, but it has many other uses for personal care as well: Insect bites: Put a drop or two of Purification oil on an itchy bite for immediate relief. It neutralizes the poison from insect bites, such as those from spiders, bees, hornets and wasps. Skin blemishes: Put a drop of Purification oil on a pimple to help it clear up faster. All of the oils is this blend have antiseptic and antibacterial properties, and Lavandin acts as a tissue regenerator. Sore throat: Rub a drop of Purification oil on the outside of the throat when sore throat first appears. Deodorant: Purification neutralizes odor, not just masks it! Also keeps bacteria away so that it keeps you smelling fresh for a nice, long time! I mix it with Coconut oil & Arrowroot Powder or cornstarch. See recipe in the Photos section above. Insect Repellent: Spritz water with a few drops of Purification oil to repel pests. The Citronella in this blend is a natural insecticide. Also, repels ticks & fleas. Also see recipe in Photos section above. Cold and flu prevention: When illness is in the home, diffuse for one hour and then wait for two. Or mix a drop of Purification oil with a carrier oil and, using a cotton swab, swab the inside of the nose to prevent flu germs from getting in. Spider veins: Apply topically over affected area. Lemongrass is vasodilatory and Lemongrass and Rosemary both help improve circulation. Household uses: Purification makes a great air freshener, linen spray or laundry freshener (use in homemade laundry soap or on wool dryer balls). You can also put a few drops of Purification oil on cotton balls and place them in stinky shoes to neutralize the odour and make them smell nice again.
