EVERYONE in the Thumb of MICHIGAN: it is going to be very, very cold again and will be for a few days. Please make sure your pets are in a safe warm place if the dont come onto the house. Give them fresh dry hay. Also, if you have any other animals outside keep them in a enclosed area where they will be out of the elements. Check on your neighbors, especially your elderly ones. Make sure they have heat and they have food. Check on your pipes. Let them drip when you are not using them(when you are gone from the house) this will help the pipes from freezing. Then Finally Bundle up when you go out in this sub-below weather. Have gloves on and a hat scarves. It only takes a little bit to get frost bite. Your car: try and keep a full tank of gas in it and let it run a little bit before you go to bed. This will help your car starting up in the morning. Have your car motor facing away from the wind when you are not using it (long period of time) Keep blankets and a goodie bag in your car so if you have problems the blankets will keep you warm and the goodie bad will give you energy.
