EVERYONE on that list of shame needs to attend an amputee clinic. EVERYONE on that list of shame needs to be removed from office. Through the years, I have personally witnessed scores of Green Berets, Rangers, S.E.A.L.s and just plain old dog faces meet and exceed the challenges of traumatic limb amputation. These men left an indelible impression upon, me when I as just 11 years old. I chose my fate, I knew what was going to happen to me in the operating room at Shriners. I knew I would awake without a leg...These men went into battle, and had to be carried off the battlefield. Unfortunately, history is repeating itself, because we are too desensitized by the media. The Red Summer of 1919 when WWI Vets had to riot for benefits...Black Jack Pershing had to open fire on the very men that served him just two years earlier...Viet Nam Vets spat upon when returning home...I met two Viet Nam Vets in 1976 in Atlanta GA, that changed my life forever. Ronald Moore, and Troy Lee Griffith Jr.. Ronald was a L.E.R.P., (long range recon personnel) and Troy Lee was a door gunner. Both were in the 101st Air Calvary. These men had wounds that were not visible...they both were decorated many times, and Troy Lee had 5 Purple Hearts. Both were so heavily medicated on thorazine, I had to drive them both to the VA in Atlanta to receive treatment....I had personally witnessed Ron Kovics nightmare...Born on the 4th of July WAS REAL and happening right in front of me....
