She decides she can’t afford it so she “opts out,” going without insurance. They inform her she’ll be fined $4,037 which will be added to her yearly income tax. You think it’s cheaper? [FOR HER OWN GOOD] ?? But wait. There is more. If she can’t afford to pay the fine: As part of the REPERCUSSIONS”: First, her driver’s license will be suspended until paid; After 24 consecutive months with Non-Payment if she owns a home, she will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. [FOR HER OWN GOOD] ?? How’s that HOPE and CHANGE working out for you?
