EXCERPT OF MESSAGE BY PST. OLUMESE @SUNDAY CELEBRATION, 10th November, 2013. Message title: THE WAY OF THE KINGDOM! 1.0. The Kingdom and You. 2.0. The ways of the Kingdom (Characteristics). 3.0. Your responsibility. 1.0. THE KINGDOM AND YOU. Matthew 6:9-10 - After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Jesus in teaching us to pray, told us to ask for the release of the kingdom of God. One striking thing we need to see from the Scripture we just read is that there is a vital connection between the kingdom of God and the operation of the will of God. The operation of the will of God on the earth is the way of the kingdom. THE OPERATION OF THE WILL OF GOD ON THE EARTH IS THE WAY OF THE KINGDOM! The Good news is this, we dont need to pray for the kingdom to come anymore that prayer has been answered already. Luke 17:20-21 - And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Two important things to note from Jesus response. 1. The kingdom comes not with observation: this means the kingdom is not dependent on what can be observed or seen. Dont wait until external conditions are perfect! 2. The kingdom is within you: Jesus started by saying, For behold the kingdom of God is within you. Jesus is saying, Look, see, it is inside. When we add these two points, we discover what Jesus was really trying to say: He was saying, STOP OBSERVING EXTERNAL CIRCUMSTANCES AND CONDITIONS, LOOK INSIDE, OPERATE THE WILL OF GOD ON EARTH, WALK IN THE WAYS OF THE KINGDOM, DEPLOY WHAT IS WITHIN YOU! Listen, if you want to emerge as a champion, when faced with challenges, DONT CONSIDER THE SITUATION, LOOK INSIDE AND RELEASE WHAT YOU FIND! Ecclesiastes 11:4 - He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. Jonah 2:8 - They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. Jonah 2:8 (AMP) - Those who pay regard to false, useless, and worthless idols forsake their own (source of mercy and loving kindness). This is it, friend. If you spend too much time observing what is on the outside, you will forget the solution which is already on your inside! In my book, THE PURPOSE OF JESUS, my friend, Pemi Aguda puts it beautifully in her poem. She said, It is like dying from infirmity, The cure in your unopened chest. If we must walk in expansion, we have got to look inside! 2.0. THE WAY OF THE KINGDOM (CHARACTERISTICS) 2.1. The Kingdom is valuable: Matthew 13:44-46 - Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. The Kingdom of God is valuable and that kingdom is within you. Therefore, you are valuable, you are not worthless, you are not useless, YOU ARE A WINNER! 2.2. The Kingdom increases and grows: Matthew 13:31-33 - Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. The Kingdom of God is a kingdom of increase, it may start small but it was designed to increase! Job 8:7 - Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. The Kingdom of God has an inherent ability to dominate and subdue authorities until there is no end to its territory. Isaiah 9:7 - Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Talking about the kingdom of God, the Bible shows us that there is no end to the increase, the Kingdom of God was designed for continuous, unending, increase and that is what you carry inside you. 3.0. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: Matthew 13:31 - Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Matthew 13:33 - Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. It is your responsibility to take what you have found about the kingdom and sow it in your family, your business, your finances and every other area of your life. Until you introduce the kingdom into what you do, you cannot see the increase the kingdom is capable of producing. Make up your mind to apply the Word to your business. From this service, your increase will have no end! 4.0. HOW TO SOW THE KINGDOM FOR EXPANSION: It is your responsibility to sow the kingdom in order for you to see expansion. But how can you do this? 4.1. Stop complaining, do something! Expansion comes by actively taking part in effective change. A Chinese proverb says, It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. It is time for the body of Christ to rise up as solution providers and quit being complainers. God wants us to do something! Exodus 14:10,15,16. Exodus 14:10 - And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord. Exodus 14:15-16 - And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. God wanted Moses to do something. The miracle begins when you take responsibility and do something. 4.2. Identify a need and meet it. Expansion will only answer to the desire to meet a need. Five loaves of bread will only multiply when there are 5000 men to feed.(Matthew 14:17-21). Every need you identify is an opportunity for you to rise to the next level. Listen, the anointing only answers to a new assignment. Luke 4:18 - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Stop running away from needs, meet them. Contribute positively to society by the power of the Spirit and watch your value increase. THIS IS THE WAY OF THE KINGDOM! CONFESSION: THE KINGDOM HAS COME, IT IS IN ME. IT IS A KINGDOM OF VALUE AND INCREASE. THEREFORE, I AM VALUABLE AND I AM INCREASING ON EVERY SIDE. I DO NOT OBSERVE EXTERNAL CIRCUMSTANCE, I AM LOOKING INSIDE. THE GREATER ONE LIVES INSIDE OF ME. I AM VICTORIOUS. I APPLY THE WORD OF GOD ALWAYS, I WILL SOW THE KINGDOM IN EVERY AREA OF MY LIFE. I AM MAKING PROGRESS!
