EXCERPTS FROM MY BOOK of my LIFE....AND TIMES WITH MAD MIKE! THE YEAR WAS 1964! IT WAS IN SUMMER of A YOUNG MAN PERSUEING his feverish desires. MAD MIKE was in the windy city home of the CHIGAGO CUBS.....HE WAS ALERTED; before he left for Chigago, Illinios, by one of his Midwestern, fellow jocks, that there was a warehouse on the westside; that was loaded with THE LOVES OF HIS YOUNG LIFE....OLD RARE 45S! HE TURNED 24 the day after he was discharged from the Navy! On march 19, 1964....7 days after his 24th birthday celebration, in South Caralina; he hopped a Greyhound an returned to his old stumping grounds....in PITTSBURGH, PA. AND ACCORDING to him; after about a few months home....and with a part-time radio gig, he got a call from another D.J. in state-of-Indiana....Gary Indiana....Michael Jacksons old stompping grounds...HE TOLD MAD MIKE: THERE WERE 100,000 RARE hard too find finds to be had CHEAP! They could be found on CHICAGOS Westside! MIKE HAD a part-time radio show at a A.M. station in Carneige, PA. He knew since he was so new....his station manager; would frown if he wasnt there to do his...oldies program; unless, he told me (he could get another D.J. TO HOLD DOWN HIS SPOT) this years later; when he gave me my singing name of MR. LEE! A fairly new jock GERMANY whom MIKE quickly became his friend....cover for MAD MIKE...while he was absent...from his broadcasting shift. So, as, MIKE told me; he jumped in his 60 Studebaker ....and flew through PITTSBURGH...AS, IF, HE, WAS being chased my the MAFIA! He said: MR.LEE when I finally arrived at the COLLECTORS CONVENTION it was 10 hours after, I left the golden triangle....WHERE I KNOW....THE FOUNTAIN OF LOVE spins love of a different kind..
