EXCITING JOKER NEWS – This Friday, our very own Sophie Pilkington is being recognized by Field Hockey B.C. as a 2014 Volunteer Recognition Award winner. Although relatively new to playing field hockey, Sophie has jumped in with two feet and contributed so much to our club and our sport. Sophie is always looking at ways to improve what we do and takes on many tasks behind the scenes and without being asked. The long list of Sophie’s contributions include (but are certainly not limited to) serving on the Jokers Executive as the Membership Secretary (not an easy task!), serving as the Team Rep for the Div V team, doing a huge amount of work to make our 50th Anniversary a success and revamping and running the Warped Stick beer garden at the Vancouver International Tournament the last couple of years. A huge congrats to Sophie on this incredibly well deserved award. We are so very proud to have you as our teammate!
