EXCITING NEWS!! The DSCNWA is bringing Amy Allison, Executive Director of the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City to NWA in April!! Parents, special educators, and school counselors are invited to attend one or both of the presentations she will be giving while here. The presentations, “Opening the Door to Friendship Through Education and Peer Presentations” and “Down Syndrome 101 for Educators” are provided at no cost! Specifics about each class are provided below. MANY thanks to the Down Syndrome Connection of NWA for providing the funding to cover any necessary fees, Bentonville Public Schools and Jaye Kay Williams Brown, Director of Special Education at BPS, for hosting the DS 101 class and the Sunshine School for hosting the Peer Presentations class.
