EXCLUSIVE: Interpol Investigates Guinea – Uganda Match Fixing Allegation... Exclusive information from a grapevine source in Uganda has it that International Police (Interpol) are investigating an alleged match fixing scandal during the Afcon 2015 final group match between the Syli Nationales of Guinea and the Cranes of Uganda which the Cranes lost by 2-0. According to the source, information got to the Federation of Uganda Football Association that Interpol has uncovered a match fixing mafia and found out that some of the players of the Ugandan national team gave away the match in Casablanca. A website in Uganda, kawowo had earlier on reported that the Uganda Football Federation had opened inquiries into a purported match fixing scandal during the game which saw one Ugandan player red carded. According to FUFA President, Moses Magogo, the outcome of the match was suspicious and people called for an inquiry into the game compelling the federation to engage the local police to make preliminary inquiries. However, a source close to the Federation of Uganda Football Association has disclosed to sportscrusader that the International Police has finally identified some suspects who are currently under investigation.
