EXERCISE FOR THE SPIRIT By Deirdre May 30, 2014 We often exercise our body, but we often neglect to exercise our spirit by dedicating exclusive time out of our day to commune with God. We need God to grow spiritually, and your growth rate has a direct correlation to how much time you spend with alone with God. So the next time before you get ready to head for the gym, stop and take 15 minutes to an hour to sit down and chat with God. Let Him know about your day, how things are going, and ask Him for guidance on matters that are troubling your mind, or just give Him thanks for making your way today easier. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. 1 Timothy 4:8
