EXERCISE OF THE WEEK!! This week’s exercise is a simple progression by increasing the resistance that the abdominals are working against in the Table Top Curl. Prior to lifting your feet in the air ensure you preset your abdominals, including pelvic floor. With the Theraband anchored behind you and your arms fully extended bring your hands in line with your chest. The curling motion begins by lifting from the chest, lift until your shoulder blades are off the floor and return to the starting position. As this exercise increases the load in the abdominals significantly, if you an unsure whether this exercise is safe for you to perform as part of your weekly program please contact one of your friendly Exercise Physiologists to find out.
