EXISTENCE Peace we wanted from this world Instead through hell we all are hurled These eyes have become a vacant lot From all the painful lessons taught Where are the infamous fairy tales? In a coffin somewhere sealed by rusty nails Long ago dreams became just survive Where is the joy of simply being alive? Just can’t seem to find my true self It’s been hidden away on some dusty shelf One day you realize years have passed by Way off track and you don’t know why How do we all heal a shattered heart? Slowly piece by piece and part by part You just know you want to leave your mark To shine in the light not fade into the dark To start over again at this place and age There’s a war within you’re self to wage All I ever wanted from this vast earth Was to prove my loyalty and my worth I never knew it would be so damn hard The wilderness fight leaves us scarred But in the end what will it be all about?
