EXODUS Just seen the trailer for Exodus - Gods and Kings - it looks a really good film. Recently there have been a lot of films made about the bible, Noah and Son of God to mention a few. So does the fact you believe or not have influence your view of the film? Personally I love the bible stories and found them to be as good as any Shakespeare play, the characterisation, plot and action are a great source entertainment and learning. However some people (believers) take the stories and mottos literally, but can you imagine what life would have been like in those times, with no TV or books or films to pass the time. So is it any wonder they took the stories literally? As their only source of learning and entertainment we could forgive them for being naive about such matters, but how come people, with all the varied information around today still think these stories real? Or do you think these bible films are diluting peoples belief in the bible, dumbing the bible down and making it more of a fantasy film or computer game simulation?
