EXOTIC MOROCCO - 10 DAYS - 09 NIGHTS Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be met and transferred by van to your Marrakech hotel, where you will check in and relax for the afternoon. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Day 2: Marrakech City Tour After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with the tour on to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el-Fna, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the souks lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven fabrics and many other art objects of Morocco. Dinner will be served in the hotel. Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas - Ait Benhdaou Kasbah - Ouarzazate After breakfast, early departure to Telouat via the High Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka passe reaching 2260 m. After the Tichka pass, you leave the main road and take a side road to the Telouat Kasbah which belonged to the Lords of the Atlas Pacha Glaoui and his family (lunch in the place). In the afternoon tracks to Ait Ben Haddou kasbah once used as a backdrop for many Hollywood blockbusters, via the Ounila Valley with its Berber villages, then onwards to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Day 4: Ouarzazate – Skoura - Rose valley - Todra gorges Leaving Ouarzazate around 8:30am towards Skoura for a quick 20 minutes visit of the Amridil Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern “Route of the thousand Kasbahs”. Continuing our journey through the Valley of the Roses before heading Boulmane, we lunch on top of Dades Gorges, reaching Tinghir and 20 km following its fabulous views and the canyons of the Todra Gorges. Dinner and overnight in charming guest house. Day 5: Todra gorges – Erfoud - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, walk around Tinerghir palm plantations and Todra Gorges. We drive to Tinjedad to have lunch. After we reach Erfoud via the palm groves, we stop for a visit of a local fossil craft workshop. Then, we continue to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, The Dunes of Merzouga via a track. Appointment with camel ride. You’ll be taken on camels back to the bivouac where you will enjoy the sun setting on the dunes. Dinner and overnight on a true nomad camp. Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani - Tazarine - Draa valley - Agdez After an unforgettable quiet night among the sand dunes of erg chebbi, you will admire the sunrise upon the dunes, then a typical breakfast is served and return back with camels to the hotel to meet your driver, shower and leave to Rissani, we will explore its touristic area including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the palm tree grove as a part of eco-tourism exploration. Lunch break in Tazarine, then we continue to Agdez via the bridge of Tansikht and the highest part of Draa valley. Dinner and night in a hotel in Agdez. Day 7: Agdez – Taznakht - Taliouine - Taroudante After breakfast at the hotel, departure via a part of Draa valley and a beautiful descent over an arid plateau towards Tazenakht, an important center of carpet weaving, crossing the massif of mount Siroua. Lunch will have lunch in Taliouine, an area known for its Saffran production. Arrival to Taroudant for the night with dinner. Day 8: Taroudante – Agadir - Essaouira After Breakfast departure for Agadir. Afternoon panoramic tour of Agadir and its beautiful beaches, souks and the historical Kasbah dating to 16th century. Set on a crescent of sand, the wide shallow beach of Agadir stretches as far as the eye can see. Our journey continues to the North towards Essaouira. Tour of the city, a place with a strong feeling where you explore Phoenician, Berber, Portuguese, Jewish, and French past in the well-preserved architecture, with its small alleyways and whitewashed buildings with blue paintwork and enchanting fishing harbour reflecting the Portuguese character of settlers from the 16th century. Day 9: Essaouira – Marrakech After breakfast, Departure for Marrakech via the scenic inland road with the forest of the Argan trees which only exist in this region of the world, we stop to take pictures with goats ‘harvesting’ Argan fruits, then visit an Argan oil cooperative run by local women… you can take a tour to learn a traditional Moroccan jam to bring home. Then we continue to Marrakech. Overnight at the Riad with breakfast. Day 10: Marrakech – Back to Menara airport. You will be transferred to the airport for departure depending on your flight time.
