EXOTIC POLAND 1) The obelisk with a stone elephant is probably the most unusual monument in Poland. It was made in 1686 and stands next to the Church of the Assumption, Grodzisko. 2) Little Negro House, Warsaw. It was erected in the second half of the 17th century for the Mayor Jakub Dzianotti. 3) Japanese Garden, Wroclaw. The Japanese Garden owes its existence to the 1913 World Expo, when it was exhibited in the category of Artistic Gardening on the initiative of Count Fritz von Hochberg who commissioned Oriental landscape guru Mankichi Arai to do his thing.
