EXPECTING THE SUN. In a night with complete gloom, Towards the season when sleep is at peak, My phone was vibrating, As my heart was ringing, Quickly woke up, Looked at the cell, My eyes opened up, Seeing what she texts. Meeting in the village square, Under the mango tree, When silence is the commander. And birds are dancers. If sun comes, you lose. If doesn’t you win. Jubilation painted my heart, As happiness gingered my mind, How will sun set at the middle of the night? Am already the winner and the sun is the looser. Walking straight to the old woman, Pecking her in the old manner, I told her categorically, Expected jewel is coming. She broke to life, Holding me as a boy. Treating me as a pet. Village square I come, Staying lonely in a breezy night, Expecting the beautiful angel, Suddenly she appeared, The angel walked towards me, I adjusted my stand as she move into my heart. Thought she will embrace me, Thought this is my first kiss, She then eases, As noses collided. Asking what happened, Wondering what occurred, She drew two steps back, ‘Am still expecting the sun” she said. I laughed, And she sighed, Sun this time? I moved directly to her, Holding her hands, Am feeling the warm like never before, Spoke directly to her heart, Accept me and you will never see sadness again. She remained mute, As I remained pause, Waiting for lovely breeze to sway, Waiting for her mouth to speak, We waited expecting impossibility, But still insisting the sun will come. Her face is changing, Tears seemed surround her chicks, I embraced her with my hands, I cannot see him again. Who , I asked My Hero ,she said. He went to war, We supposed to meet today, Not seeing him means death. My mind settled. The bold voice sounded from the opposite, Appealing and romantic, The sun arrives!!! It echoed my mind, She quickly left my hands And ran toward s the voice, There is a shock in my heart, I can’t watch the scene. I ran home alone, Seeing the old woman at distance, Expecting the two, She took on her stave, Walked directly to me. I looked at her eyes, The sun finally came, Am the looser. The old woman held me tight, Never my son, Another angel is expecting you as the sun, That day you are just the winner.
