EXPERIENCES OF PEOPLE AT SAI DHAM: All the prosperity I attribute to Baba – it is His doing I would have never known what ‘Miracles’ were, had it not been for Sai Baba. It is amazing how Baba listens to each one of us, that sometimes it feels that we are the centre of His attraction. I heard about Shirdi Sai Baba in the year 1980 and how his devotee throng to his temple on Lodhi Road every Thursday, come hail come storm. I wished I too could go, and thought to myself, well, if He wants me to come, he will organize it. I had resigned from my job a couple of months earlier, and was looking for one, within a few days of my wish, I got a job in S. Ext., so close to the temple and I started visiting the temple regularly every Thursday. One day standing in front of Baba in the temple, I felt I heard a voice asking me to quit my job. That came as a shock to me, as I was extremely happy and content with my work and did not want to leave it for anything in the world. I kept brushing aside the thought, as a fig of my imagination, but the thought kept persistently coming back. One day fed up with this thought, I gave in and told Baba – ‘You want me to leave my job, so be it.’ Very soon I met someone who wanted to import and there overnight I became an Exporter. All the prosperity I attribute to Baba – it is His doing. Last year I told Baba that it seemed like ages since I had met Him, and wondered when He would call me for His Darshan. The next day, Lo behold, there was a flyer along with the newspaper inviting to Guru Purnima celebrations at Sai Dham, Paschim Vihar ! Wow, I couldn’t believe my good luck, physical proximity to Baba. When I visited Sai Dham, I was so moved; I cried with joy. This was an invitation from Him. I started visiting Sai Dham. It gives such solace just being there. Sai Dham is a veritable Abode of Baba. The positive vibes are almost tangible. It is so intoxicating that come 6 pm, one wants to leave everything and run to the temple. It is like a withdrawal symptom – come 6 pm and my mind automatically goes to Sai Dham and I start reciting His prayers wherever I am. We are so blessed to be a part of Sai Dham. It is overwhelming the way Sulakshnaji, Vineet Naveena and the children patiently look after all His devotees and make everyone feel at home. One devotee on returning from Shirdi rightly remarked “Earlier we used to love Vineet, today we worship him”. I am sure each one of us would echo the same words.
