EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - CADETSHIP The Central Land Council is calling for expressions of interest from Aboriginal people who are interested in studying full time at university under the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR), Indigenous Cadetship scheme (ICS). CADETSHIPS MAY BE AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: • Environmental or Natural Resource Management • Mining / Geology • Anthropology • Law • Public Policy/ Political and Social Sciences • Community Development • Finance / Accounting • Media / Public Relations • Management / Business / Commerce • Information Technology • Spatial data sciences • Information Management • Engineering WHO CAN APPLY: Those Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people that: • Have been accepted and are enrolled for fulltime study on campus at a University located in Australia; • Be enrolled for his or her first undergraduate degree course: and • Have already started or are beginning their higher education study in 2015. HOW DOES IT WORK: Successful cadets will study full time during the academic year and attend 12 weeks work placement at the CLC in their related work area during the major vacation breaks. On successful completion of their studies every effort will be made to offer cadets qualified positions within the CLC. GET PAID TO STUDY: • Receive a fortnightly salary for whole year including for study periods • Support with textbooks, laptop, equipment and travel costs • Mentoring and support from industry professionals APPLICATION: Interested people must submit a written application which includes a copy of a confirmation of enrolment.
