EXTRASOL ORGANIC FERTILIZER Extrasol is an organic fertilizer that is based on the strain of a multifunctional live rhizobacteria called Bacillus Subtilis Ch-13 which is isolated from chernozem soil after careful study and selection. This bacterium has a range of bacterial properties such as the ability to synthesize substances suppressing the development of fungal and bacterial plant pathogens. By actively colonizing plant roots, these beneficial bacteria promote the development of root hairs and enhance their absorptive capacity. The bacterium in Extrasol is intended to decrease the chemical load on grain, legumes and vegetable crops thereby increase their productivity. Extrasol works as organic fertilizer (Bisolbifit) and at the same time can be used as a fungicide (Bisolbisan). It is manufactured by Agribiotec in the Federation of Russia where it is registered and listed among pesticides and agrochemicals. Extrasol is also registered in Kazakhstan, Moldova, Germany, Serbia, Montenegro, South Africa, Australia and Zambia. In Zambia, Extrasol has been tested at the Research Institute in Mount Makulu, Chilanga where it has been recommended for use by Zambia’s farmers. Extrasol does not exclude the use of mineral fertilizers and chemicals for crop protection but makes their use more rational and environmental balanced. Extrasol contains active nitrogen-fixing bacteria that effectively assimilate air nitrogen thereby making it possible to reduce the application rate of mineral fertilizers especially nitrogen fertilizers by 20-40%. This is important both in traditional agricultural practices and in soil saving practices employing “zero” soil tillage. Extrasol makes it possible to increase the yield by 10-25% during the cultivation of field crops and increases gluten content in grain by 2-6% and also increases oil content in seeds by 2-4%. At the same time, the use of Extrasol decreases the expenses for pesticides and agrochemicals and improves the soil and safeguards its fertility. This is why Extrasol is very suitable for farmers that practice conservation farming a practice that Lunsam Agricultural Services Limited promotes with a passion. Rhizobacteria in general mostly feed on root exudates, such as sugar, organic acids, amino acids and vitamins. This means that there is stiff competition for food sources in the rhizosphere. By actively colonizing the roots of plants, it boosts their immune system and enhances their resistance to stress such as frosts and droughts. Extrasol improves the intake of nutrients by plants, increases the germination power of seeds, decreases the degree of plant affection by phytopathogenic microorgisms and thus considerably increases their productivity. It is also used for treatment of seeds and vegetating plants, for prestorage treatment of the harvest, for acceleration of decomposition of organic residues, for biological modification of pellets of mineral fertilizers and for soil detoxification. Treatment of seeds with Extrasol results in colonization of their surface with beneficial microflora. When Extrasol-treated seeds are sown, these bacterial starts to reproduce dramatically, rapidly colonizing the rhizosphere of the developing crop. They synthesize substances inhibiting the development of pathogenic microorganisms and promote the development of beneficial ones. Extrasol protects plants first of all from the most harmful diseases such as rust, powdery mildew, helminthosporioses, fusarioses and bacterioses. The effect of Extrasol used for treatment of vegetative plants is based on the fact that the suspension of microorganisms and their metabolites promotes the regulation o vital functions and protective-adaptive reactions of the plants. Application of Extrasol on gardeners starts with the nursery. When nursery bed is prepared, water the bed spray with Extrasol making sure that the mixture enters into the soil together with water, thereafter you can now plant. 14 days latter, you can spray with Extrasol and the dilution rate should be 10 mils in 1 litre of water. At time of transplanting, sock the seedlings in 100mls in 1 litre of water. Continue spraying every 14 days. It is recommended to add manure.
