EYP Portugal is proud to announce an event dedicated to the expansion of the European Youth Parliament to higher education students - the Academic Forum of Porto, 2015. From the 20th to the 22nd of February, Porto will host more than 90 participants from all around Europe who will gather in an event of heated debates and intercultural dialogue, to discuss current European affairs, and exchange ideas and visions for tomorrow’s Europe. During the first day, the participants will go through a process of Teambuilding, in which they will gather in Committees and get to know each other, learn how to work as a team and solve challenging tasks, improving communication and problem-solving skills. During the second day, the participants will gather in Committee Work, analysing their committee topic, identifying the problems surrounding it and discussing possible solutions for those same problems. The output of this work will be a written resolution. During the third day, the committees come together to present and debate the resolutions they created, by simulating a plenary session of the European Parliament. The event will also include complementary evening activities to foster cultural exchange and socialising moments.
