EZAKUSIHLWA MLF to serve divorce papers on Mugabe by Staff reporter THE president of secessionist group, Mthwakazi Liberation Front (MLF), Fidelis Ncube, has said they will serve divorce papers on the Zimbabwean government before year-end. Mthwakazi Liberation Front is a shadowy militant outfit whose aim is to secede from Zimbabwe and create a separate state which would run from the countrys western border to as far as Kwekwe, Shurugwi and Mberengwa. Addressing supporters in Johannesburgs Hillbrow suburb on Saturday, Ncube said they will soon dispatch a delegation to Harare to push for their demands. Now is the time to (push for) the total liberation of Mthwakazi. We are a peaceful organisation but will use other methods which were used by other people to liberate themselves, Ncube told the gathering. We are prepared to lay down our lives for the liberation of Mthwakazi from Zimbabwe. He added: Before December we will send a delegation to present our secession letter with our demands. Its time to serve divorce papers. Ncube said they are aware that they would have to liberate themselves from the clutches of tyranny. He said Mthwakazi was a nation with more than 17 tribal groups including the Kalanga, Nambya, Tonga, Whites, Shangani, Basotho and Venda among others. The radical MLF leader said they will first resort to peaceful means but if that fails they will resort to other methods that he refused to specify to achieve their goals. It is in their (Zimbabwean governments) best interest to allow us to part ways . . . and gone are the days when we could fold our hands when our people were being killed. We will not allow another 20,000 to be killed, Ncube said. Ncube was alluding to the ethnic Ndebeles who were killed during a crackdown by President Robert Mugabes soldiers in Matabeleland and the Midlands provinces in the early 1980s. The massacre has remained a major point of grievance for the Ndebeles. Although Mugabe has in the past described the killings as a moment of madness, he has never apologised for the massacre instead insisting Zimbabwe was in a state of war. .
