Each October, Brentwood School holds a Book Award Ceremony to honor the three students in each grade who achieved the highest grade point average (GPA) during the preceding academic year. For each honored student, a faculty member speaks for a few minutes about the excellence and accomplishments of the student in academics, extra curricular activities, character, and community service, among other things and presents a book to the student. Our son Jackson Lallas, a senior, (FB name Law Less) and daughter Taylor Lallas, a sophomore, received book awards at the ceremony today. Both Jackson and Taylor had perfect 4.0 GPAs which were unweighted, and not adjusted upward for the many AP and/or honors they aced last year. Jackson and Taylor had another distinction--they were the only siblings in the entire school who each won book awards, the third book award won by Jackson, and the first by Taylor. Congratulations Jackson and Taylor. Mom and I love you, are always proud of you, and are very happy that your hard work, dedication and excellence was rewarded. Love Mom and Dad
