Each and every sector of Israeli society is being cynically used and manipulated - Religious Zionists get more housing in Gilo, a prosperous, mixed Jerusalem neighborhood that no actual resident of Jerusalem thinks of as a "settlement," but to pay for them, Palestinians get some of their prisoners freed, and the Secular Left gets the resumption of "Peace Talks." Something for everybody, right? WRONG. The big winners here are the Politicians, further entrenching themselves into perpetual job security, and the Press, voracious and insatiable for content, the more devoid of truth and sense the better to sell advertising with.
