Each year Chesapeake FC participates in the KIHS Homecoming Parade. We will participate again this year. There will be no CFC training on Friday night, 9/27/13 (Camps, keeper training, speed & agility) so that everyone has the opportunity to participate. The Friday night training camps will be rescheduled for an additional night as a makeup. Here are the details for planning purposes: Date: Friday, 9/27/13 Parade starts at 5pm. Please plan to arrive between 4:15pm and 4:45pm to the site where the parade begins. This is in the space between Kent Island Elementary School and Bayside Elementary School. Like every other year, we will have a truck pulling a trailer. The trailer, we will decorate on site so if you can arrive early to help decorate, please plan to do so, we will need extra hands. The theme is "Outta of this World" and we are using "CFC is outta of this world" and World Cup in Brazil 2014 as the theme for our float. We will NOT throw candy this year so please leave that at home. Teams will wear their team jerseys - please coordinate with your team managers which color you will wear. Very important: Parents, please do not drop your children off at the site. A parent or someone responsible must stay with the children. We can not be responsible for the entire group without chaperones - as safety is extremely important to us. Parents are allowed to also walk with the float as extra supervision is needed. We will finish up just past Old Love Pt Park (the first left into the school by the fenced fields). Generally around 6pm/615pm. Each year this event is a ton of fun and we hope to make it a memorable experience for the kids. If anyone gets pictures, please send to me as I would like to get them on the website.
