Last year we gathered about 1000 moose and 2000 deer and then have them custom tanned at a tannery here in canada. It is not a pretty process but an odd kind of recycling with amazing result. The leather is very soft and comes in several colours. $6 per sq foot average moose quarter is $48, average full deer $60.
