Each year when WCU off-campus students move out, lots of furniture - TopicsExpress

Each year when WCU off-campus students move out, lots of furniture and household items get thrown away. WCU’s brand new Pack It Up, Pass It On program encourages students to donate those household items at drop off locations around the WC Borough and bring heavy furniture to the street-side curb for convenient truck pick up between 2 – 5 pm on May 1 - 8. The items will be sold at a warehouse sale and the proceeds go directly to the construction of two homes in the Borough by Habitat for Humanity of Chester County (HFHCC). This convenient program sponsored by WCU, Habitat for Humanity of Chester County, the Borough of West Chester, Swope-Lees Commercial Real Estate and the Chester County Food Bank is completely free for WCU students and Borough residents. Drop off locations can be found at the following sites: the corner of Magnolia and Walnut, the corner of E. Nields and S. Walnut St., the corner of Lacey and S. Matlack St., Green Field, Bayard Rustin Park, and the South Campus Village Parking Lot. All locations are open for drop off May 1-8 between 12-6 PM. The HFHCC’s Warehouse Sale will be held at 600 Hannum Avenue on Saturday, May 10 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, May 11 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. The sale is open to the public, offering some great buys and the opportunity to support HFHCC and their efforts in the Borough of West Chester. Join the sponsors in support of this worthwhile program.
