Eagle down. Grant Kelley, class of 79, passed away yesterday at the age of 53. I sent my condolences to his sister. He was a really good friend in Iran. We were in the same church youth group, shared many classes, our birthdays were 3 days apart, and we even double dated to the prom. I spent my last days in Iran living with the Kelly family until they were evacuated. From his younger sister: His 53rd birthday was on the first of July and he started to have pain in his stomach. After some testing and a trip to emergency room he ended up in ICU last Thursday and his liver started to fail. They didnt know why. Then his kidneys and then last night, respiratory failure. They call that multi symptom organ failure. This morning, just after 10:00 he passed away leaving behind his sweet wife, Karen Cowgar, his son Clint who has Grants only grand baby this far, daughter Kacey, son Ryan (serving a mission in Argentina), and youngest daughter Geena that just graduated from high school this year. Also, his parents, brother Kenny, brother Aaron and me(Kristen) his sister. He was a great friend to many people. Glen Martinsen said he had some pictures he would get out and post. If anyone else has some it would be fun to see them. Funeral services will be Friday, August 15th.
