Earlier, in the Jewish Court of Law: an important diabolical function was filled by “the satan” who, as adversary, accused unmercifully: finding fault & flaw, mistake & error, inconsistency, contradiction misplaced modification and dangling elements— dia-bolically and appropriately throwing the defendant “across” the coals, so to speak, under the bus we might say. in the interest of exposing truth & consequences: getting to the heart of the matter & out outing damned spots.. And then, if the accused survived, suffered the hooks & barbs, snares, innuendos & insinuations, still standing after all that efficient attention: he got juridical consideration. Dia-bolical (to “throw across”) on the one hand so as to achieve the Sym-bolical (to “throw together”) on the other hand. Or as Professor Kahl would describe it, more Chronicles Of Hire Education Worthy than me: : Learning is a cycle of confusion always followed by clarity We celebrate clarity. We hate confusion— which is why jester & satan don’t get the appreciation they deserve. We prefer NBS (nothing but symbolical) naturally. No Jester, no Satan, no dia-bolicalism need apply: illegal immigrants & subversives,. collateral damage, trial and erroring… no no no
