Earlier this afternoon I had the opportunity to address the Senate on the exciting progress in the fight against prostate cancer and the work of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. It was my privilege to also participate along with my colleague Warren Snowdon MP earlier this week in the latest initiative to raise funds for the PCFA by participating in part of the initial leg of the Long Ride. The Long Ride is a motorbike ride that will this year culminate at Uluru. As they make their way around rural and regional Australia, the riders will raise money and spread the message of this years theme: increasing awareness of prostate cancer.
